Whites Tree Frog

Amphibians can be fun pets, although they are made more for watching than handling. Amphibians are animals that need a lot of moisture to survive. (The word "amphibian" means half life: half in water, half on land.) Some amphibians, such as fire-belly toads, can be handled a little, and some should never be handled unless being moved to clean a cage or moved to a new cage. Whenever you hold any amphibian, make sure your hands are wet before you pick them up or their skin might stick to your hands! Also make sure your hands are clean because their skin is super absorbent and they can absorb bad chemicals and such if you aren't careful.
